A study by John Robinson, professor of sociology at the University of Maryland, related watching TV to someone’s state of happiness. Out of 10 investigated activities, watching television was the only activity done more by unhappy people. All other activities such as visiting others or going to church were done less by unhappy people. Regrettably the study did not answer the question: “Is the activity of watching television the cause of people getting unhappy?”. If after further investigation the answer appears to be yes, a TV company as “Vijftv” could question his corporate social responsibility. If not however, “Vijftv” has the potential to make people happy.
